Discord music bot with voice playback and queue controls
Enable Music on your hosted bot, then let members play tracks and manage a shared queue from Discord.
Create your botWhat the Music module does
The Music module joins the voice channel of the member who requests a track. Use /play with a song name or an HTTP(S) link; the bot adds it to playback and posts the queue position. Members can check what is playing with /queue and move on with /skip. The module also provides pause, resume, stop, volume and loop controls.
Music is a Free module. When Free plan limits apply, the queue and playlist imports are capped at 20 tracks. Saved playlists, audio filters and Stay in voice when idle are Pro capabilities. The Free plan still hosts one bot, so you do not need to run audio infrastructure yourself.
Set up your music bot
1. Turn on Music
Open your bot in the dashboard, choose Modules, enable Music and wait for an online bot to finish restarting.
2. Review Playback
Select the server in Music settings, then review volume, queue size and duplicate-track handling before inviting requests.
3. Test in voice
Join a voice channel yourself, confirm the bot has Connect and Speak there, then run /play from a text channel it can use.
Hosted playback depends on available audio sources. A YouTube track can fail when YouTube requires a login, is age-restricted or is unavailable to a hosted service. In that case, the bot tries a SoundCloud result for the same artist and title; if it finds no match, it skips the track. Search by artist and song title when a pasted video link does not play.
Music bot FAQ
Do members need to be in voice?
Yes. Join the target voice channel before using /play; the bot uses that channel for the request.
Why does the bot leave voice?
Leave when empty is on by default. You can set its delay in Auto Leave; Stay in voice when idle is a Pro feature.
Does the bot guarantee YouTube playback?
No. Some hosted YouTube requests require a login or otherwise fail. The Music module reports the result and may use its SoundCloud fallback.
